Leaders in Literacy
In this webinar, Distance Learning and Student Engagement: Success Stories and Lessons Learned, Melissa Busolo, Regional Literacy Coach Project Coordinator for the San Luis Valley BOCES in Alamosa, CO, will share her experiences coaching teachers remotely in multiple districts as they implement live, online instruction for Special Education students and how they are managing IEP compliance. She will also discuss lessons learned in transitioning to remote learning and best practices in maximizing student engagement and parent involvement.
Melissa is currently working in her seventeenth year as an educator. She provides literacy support for twelve schools in nine different districts in the San Luis Valley.
Additionally, Melissa provided remote coaching support for the Cañon City School District. In the last ten years, Melissa has worked to coordinate implementation of literacy intervention across fourteen different school districts.
This presentation is appropriate for administrators, including State, District, and School Administrators, Staff Development Coordinators, and Lead Teachers; this presentation is appropriate for addressing the needs of a wide variety of populations, including Special Education, Regular Education, and English Language Learners.
