Our Curriculum

THE LINDAMOOD-BELL ACADEMY IS AN ACCREDITED K-12 CALIFORNIA PRIVATE SCHOOL.

It offers several options for a flexible and differentiated learning environment.

Lindamood-Bell Academy is a California K-12 private school accredited through Cognia and is committed to meeting rigorous standards for educational excellence.

Our students’ schedules include 4 core curriculum courses (English Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies/History) and study hall. Electives may be added as appropriate or required for our students.

During their day, the student will receive one-to-one and small group instruction, where small groups may generally consist of 2-3 students. In addition, students have the option of attending the Academy in person at a local learning center, via the comfort of their own home, utilizing our unique online option, or a blend of both.

The Academy, where the imagery-language foundation is at the core of all learning, uses a recognized and proven standards-aligned curriculum. A personalized education plan is developed for students and, whether in person or online, our programs replicate Lindamood-Bell quality on all levels-our students do not work alone.

Grade Level Content

GENERAL INFORMATION K-8 HIGH SCHOOL

We partner with two recognized curriculum providers: Pearson Connexus Learning and n2y’s Unique Learning System. We use Pearson Connexus Education Management System (PCx EMS) and n2y’s Unique Learning System (ULS) for progress, grading, and record keeping.

Our K-8 program offers core courses (English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science) with Gifted and Talented courses starting at the 3rd grade (English Language Arts, Math, and Science only).  In addition, schedules may include the option of adding electives.

Our high school program offers a wide variety of classes at a range of levels, all designed to meet the needs of our unique student body.  These courses can include Advanced Placement, Honors, Foundations, and Credit Recovery, in addition to the general education course offerings. Diplomas can be earned by students and we follow the general CA State Graduation Requirements as a guide. In addition to being supported by Lindamood-Bell staff, high school students may also be supported by Pearson instructors as well, depending on the courses in which they are enrolled.
