A learning ability evaluation will help us determine the exact solution, one that is differentiated to meet the individual needs of your son or daughter.

Questions & Answers

Will Lindamood-Bell solve his reading, spelling, and language comprehension challenges?

Yes!

We are committed to using our unique approach to enable students to reach their potential.

Is testing really necessary to begin instruction?

A learning ability evaluation allows us to pinpoint individual strengths and weaknesses, and the cause of those weaknesses.

With that information, we identify a solution–one that is differentiated to meet the individual needs of your son or daughter.

We’ve done a lot of testing at school and with other professionals, can I give you a copy of those results?

Yes, free of charge, we will be happy to look at other test results and provide insight into these scores and reports.

Why five days per week?

Research shows that repetition and intensity help make any skill automatic in a relatively short amount of time.

Our instruction targets brain processing that is not automatic, causing weaknesses in a student’s literacy and language abilities. Intensive instruction allows us to create stronger neural connections, and enables our students to see change in ability quickly.

How much does Lindamood-Bell instruction cost?

Our hourly instructional fees vary from center to center, and are comparable to similar professional academic services.

The major difference in cost is the weekly session intensity. We see students up to 30 sessions for five days a week over several weeks, while most other academic educational services schedule one or two instructional sessions per week over many months.

Depending on the instruction appropriate for your child, there are several options that can reduce the weekly fees.  We also work with Your Tuition Solutions, a loan service, that offers families a monthly payment option.

Does Lindamood-Bell guarantee improvement?

We strive to control for as many aspects of instruction as possible.

Even so, we’re not able to foresee every incident that could impact how your child cognitively responds to instruction, and we don’t make a guarantee of improvement.

You can be assured at the start of instruction that expectations are very clear and agreed upon. We provide regular progress updates, and always keep an active, open line of communication with our clients.

My child can't handle4 hours of instruction every day

This is a common and understandable concern.

Our instruction is intense, but it is fast paced, engaging, full of learning, and offers explicit, positive feedback. Students have a new Clinician each session and the lesson plans are changed throughout the week to ensure they match the specific focus for the student.

We also provide feedback to help students keep track of their progress.

Why does Lindamood-Bell instruction have to be 5 days a week?

Think about this as you would any skill that requires automaticity, like playing the piano or learning a foreign language. You must practice daily for it become second nature.
