Leaders in Literacy
In this webinar, Dr. Robert Pasternack, the former Assistant Secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services in the U.S. Department of Education, will discuss his role in developing Response to Intervention as a comprehensive approach for meeting the needs of all students.
Dr. Pasternack will share the history of RtI and best practices in preventing learning gaps for students based on a data-driven approach within a multitiered system of support framework. He will dispel some of the myths about RtI as well as highlight the importance of connecting prevention and remediation through data literacy.
This presentation is appropriate for administrators, including State, District, and School Administrators, Staff Development Coordinators, and Lead Teachers; this presentation is appropriate for addressing the needs of a wide variety of populations, including Special Education, Regular Education, and English Language Learners.
