High-impact tutoring, with evidence-based programs, is a key strategy in the American Rescue Plan to address lost learning and to help disadvantaged students catch up in reading and math. For the second straight year, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) approved Lindamood-Bell as a tutoring provider for the 2022 -23 school year.
According to the agency, “(TEA) is excited to announce the launch of the Vetted Texas Tutor Corps (VTTC), an initiative aimed at accelerating student learning through high-impact tutoring, with a goal of reaching over one million students. The VTTC is comprised of TEA-Approved and TEA-Subsidized Tutoring Providers that can support the implementation of high impact tutoring…”
TEA-Approved Providers have been vetted to ensure they meet the research-based components of high-impact tutoring. Lindamood-Bell provides instructional materials, tutoring platforms, and trained tutors as a full-service provider. Instruction is available for K-12 Reading and K -5 Math, and offered via online and in-person tutoring (where available) in all 20 Education Service Centers throughout the state.
The list of TEA-Approved Providers can be found here.
Lindamood-Bell is also a coalition member of ProvenTutoring.org, a national effort to serve millions of students across the country impacted by the pandemic or performing far below grade level due to other factors.
