When remote learning started, 9-year-old Marcelo was already struggling. Despite the extra help and support of an IEP, he hadn’t been making progress in reading and was falling further and further behind his peers. The COVID-19 shutdown provided an unusual opportunity to address Marcelo’s dyslexia. He attended a Lindamood-Bell Learning Center for live, online instruction to improve the skills needed for reading. Marcelo and his mom describe what online instruction is like with Lindamood-Bell and how the instructors made him feel successful every step of the way.
