Professional development that supports your district’s goals
Our PD provides practical, classroom-ready solutions for:
- Early literacy and math
- Struggling readers
- Students with learning disabilities, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and autism
Evidence-based instruction aligned to today’s expectations
Lindamood-Bell instruction is grounded in the cognitive science of learning and aligned with the science of reading and structured literacy.
What makes our approach unique is its focus on the sensory-cognitive skill of imagery—often a missing piece for students who struggle—and its role in developing:
- Phonemic awareness
- Phonics
- Phonological & orthographic processing
- Reading fluency
- Vocabulary
- Language comprehension & higher-order thinking

Seeing Stars® develops symbol imagery as a foundational skill for reading. Often a critical missing piece in popular reading and dyslexia interventions, symbol imagery is explicitly and systematically developed for orthographic mapping, fast word retrieval, fluency, and global reading skills. Seeing Stars aligns with all instructional principles and components of a structured literacy approach (SLA). However, unlike many SLA interventions that focus predominantly on or overemphasize phonemic awareness, Seeing Stars systematically integrates phonological AND orthographic processing necessary for automaticity in word reading skills.

Visualizing and Verbalizing® develops concept imagery as a foundational skill for language comprehension and higher-order thinking. The program provides systematic and explicit instruction based on how the brain processes language for comprehension, stimulating the sensory-cognitive skill of mental imagery. This differs from typical SLA approaches based primarily on the Simple View of Reading since many students may struggle with reading comprehension despite good decoding and oral vocabulary skills.

LiPS® develops phonemic awareness, reading, spelling, and speech. Students discover the physical characteristics of each phoneme and use this kinesthetic feedback to verify sounds within words.

Talkies® is the primer to the Visualizing and Verbalizing® program for students who need simpler, smaller steps of instruction to establish the imagery-language connection.

On Cloud Nine® develops the ability to image and verbalize the concepts and processes of math. Concept imagery and numeral imagery are integrated with language to improve both mathematical reasoning and mathematical computation.
