As a speech-language pathologist and an enthusiastic public school educator, it was hard for Lindsay to watch her own son struggle with literacy and attention issues. But Cameron made it clear that he hated it “from the minute he stepped into that school in kindergarten.” The situation got worse when favorite subjects like science were replaced by extra work that felt like punishment.
