About the Imus Ranch:
“The Imus Ranch is an authentic, working cattle ranch in New Mexico, about 50 miles northeast of Santa Fe. Its sole purpose is to provide the experience of the great American cowboy to children suffering from cancer or serious blood disorders, and children who've lost brothers and sisters to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

The ranch's main objectives for the kids are to encourage in them a sense of achievement, responsibility and self-esteem through hard work and fun, while restoring their pride and dignity. Many have become convinced that because they are sick they are not normal. At The Imus Ranch they quickly discover they can do anything any other kid can do. Each child who visits the ranch is treated as a typical kid.

All of the kids become part of our extended family living together in the main ranch house. Their days are spent side-by-side with Don, Deirdre, Fred and the Ranch wranglers doing chores and learning to care for and ride their very own horse. As they round up our Texas Longhorns, herd and feed sheep, buffalo, chickens, goats and donkeys, the kids not only become intimate participants in the dawn to dusk rhythms of the ranch but also develop enriching lifetime bonds with animals.”

Lindamood-Bell supports the Imus Ranch mission to help children in need. We are proud to have been a major contributor to the 1st Annual Imus Ranch Golf Outing, which took place on September 24th at the Great Rivers Golf Club in Milford, Connecticut.

In addition to supporting the Imus Golf Outing, Lindamood-Bell has incorporated the Deirdre Imus “Greening The Cleaning®” program in our Learning Centers.

Greening the Cleaning® means eliminating to the greatest extent possible, all cleaning agents containing hazardous ingredients and replacing them with naturally-derived ingredients with the least level of toxicity. One hundred percent of all profits from the institutional products go to the Environmental Center for supporting education and research to identify, control and ultimately prevent exposures to environmental factors that may cause adult, and especially, pediatric cancer, and other health problems with our children.

“Our Greening the Cleaning® program makes a difference not just in the indoor environment, but in the way we think about the environment around us. We applaud Lindamood-Bell for taking this important step to make a greener, brighter future,” said Deirdre Imus, founder and President of The Deirdre Imus Environmental Center for Pediatric Oncology. The Environmental Center is part of Hackensack University Medical Center, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation in New Jersey, where the program originated.

Lindamood-Bell joins more than 300 businesses, schools healthcare facilities and government agencies that have adopted the program since its inception in 2001. “We are thrilled to incorporate the Greening the Cleaning program at Lindamood-Bell. The products perform so well and support such a meaningful cause, that the program has inspired us to educate our staff and our students about going green at our 42 Learning Centers as well as our corporate headquarters,” said Nanci Bell, CEO and Co-Founder of Lindamood-Bell.

Inspired by the award-winning institutional program, the Greening the Cleaning® household line is available in stores nationwide, as well as from Imus Ranch Foods. One hundred percent of all profits go to the Imus Cattle Ranch for Kids with Cancer, a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit.
